Embedded ActiveX Player on your Website
« on: November 29, 2008, 01:28:59 am »
This Question popped up a few times, so this is a short description on how insert a player of blue iris to your website. An active Demo of this can be seen here: -->Klick here<-- You need to run this with Internet Explorer. Put the code somewhere between your body tags.

Code: [Select]
<object id="LiveVideo1" codebase="http://ishwood.selfip.com:8080/applet/XCast.cab#Version=1,0,0,21" classid="CLSID:BC165EA0-F79E-4F12-8493-80679EB5BEC2" width="320" height="240">
<param name="_Version" value="65536">
</object>
<script language="JavaScript">
LiveVideo1.width = 320;
LiveVideo1.height = 240;
LiveVideo1.bHideUI = true;
LiveVideo1.changeURL("http://ishwood.selfip.com:8080/cam1;0;");
</script>

I suppose it is selfexplaing so far. If there are questions leave me a note :)

If you want to place 2 players with different cameras on your page you have to choose different document names for your players:
Code: [Select]
<object id="LiveVideo1" codebase="http://ishwood.selfip.com:8080/applet/XCast.cab#Version=1,0,0,21" classid="CLSID:BC165EA0-F79E-4F12-8493-80679EB5BEC2" width="320" height="240">
<param name="_Version" value="65536">
</object>
<script language="JavaScript">
LiveVideo1.width = 320;
LiveVideo1.height = 240;
LiveVideo1.bHideUI = true;
LiveVideo1.changeURL("http://ishwood.selfip.com:8080/cam1;0;");
</script>

<object id="LiveVideo2" codebase="http://ishwood.selfip.com:8080/applet/XCast.cab#Version=1,0,0,21" classid="CLSID:BC165EA0-F79E-4F12-8493-80679EB5BEC2" width="320" height="240">
<param name="_Version" value="65536">
</object>
<script language="JavaScript">
LiveVideo2.width = 320;
LiveVideo2.height = 240;
LiveVideo2.bHideUI = true;
LiveVideo2.changeURL("http://ishwood.selfip.com:8080/cam2;0;");
</script>

Where does XCast.cab reside, I don't have this in the applet folder.  Can't seem to find it anywhere at all on the PC

Excellent Info, I am evaluating your software and I was desperate to embed multiple Java feeds into the same custom webpage. I know basic HTML but i'm glad I found this.

Need a little help to get this to work...

Is there an online example of this in operation?  The link given above does not work.

Does anyone have a customized webpage they would be willing to share just long enough to take a look at the source code?

The script calls for XCast.cab in the applet subdirectory, but there is no such file in that directory.

Thanks,
Frank
