This looks like a good deal, any reason not to buy this camera from this vendor, at $165 with free shipping?

Compared to other stores on Aliexpress, the store's feedback rating seems low. I'd at least see if you can find a store with higher feedback ratings before placing an order.

Interesting tidbit on sales page:

But only serious buyers are welcomed! In addition, warranty will not be provided to whoever leaves negative or neutral feedback, open case or open return request.

But: they've dropped the price to $151.80, with free shipping.

Their warranty states the buyer pays for return shipping. To ship the camera back to China with  insurance is probably half the cost of the camera. I consider buying cameras from China as a gamble as I have no intention of paying for return shipping. So far I have been lucky, and not received a DOA camera. Others have not been so lucky. I'm still not sure if I would take a chance on this seller, just because of the feedback rating.

Hi I am new to this forum having recently taken delivery of two of the above 10x units. My question is has anyone experienced my problem ie the camera works fine if i power the camera via the power lead but it fails to operate when a PoE injector is introduced.

A little lost as to the reasoning behind this any suggestions will be gratefully received.

Do you know if you have the Version 1 or Version 2 of the camera? Version 1 has the visible IR lights, while Version 2 the IR lights are hidden by a dark cover. I read on another forum that some of the first Version 2 cameras did not have the POE circuitry working, so you had to use an external 12V power source to run the camera.

When you say POE injector, what are you talking about?  If you have a POE capable Mini PTZ, you need to be sending it POE that complies with 802.3af.  If you are trying to inject 12v it's not going to work.

Hi Lulu5kamz and digger11,

Thanks for the responses.

Firstly, I have a version 1 with the IR lights exposed.

With regards to what i mean by a PoE injector, i mean an inline device (802.3af compliant) that has an external PS which delivers the requisite 12V to the camera. The injector I am using i have used on other devices successfully.

Any ideas?

What is the exact product you are using (brand and model number)? I use TP-Link TL-SF-1008P (4-Port POE switch) to run my Huisun cameras.

Sorry I'm late on the scene for this camera.  I'm looking to replace my ACTI E32 bullet with possibly this PTZ.

Can someone post a link as to where I can purchase this unit?  I'm in Canada.

Thanks for those who reply!

I only have experience with purchasing the Version 1 PTZ. I have 3 of the cameras. Back in May of this year I purchased a camera from Ali Express. The camera turned out to be DOA. I was able to get a full refund from the seller, Monitech International Company Limited. The seller also paid for the return shipping. I'm not sure if they still carry the Version 1 PTZ. However, they do stock the Version 2 PTZ camera.

A few months later, I decided to buy another Version 1 PTZ. I found a USA seller on Ebay that had them in stock for $210.95. The price included Priority Mail shipping. I got the camera 2 days later and it worked fine. If I purchased the camera from Ali Express, I could have saved between $40 and  $50 depending on camera configuration. However, I decided not having to wait on another camera shipped from China was worth the extra money.
