New IP camera - Ratingsecu R-400 Series
« on: September 04, 2014, 07:50:51 am »
Just got this info yesterday and thought I would share:
The promo model is a 1MP PTZ with x4 zoom for $63.25, plus ship.

Other models and extras shown.

This is an indoor camera, but could be used outside under an eaves, I would think. (I have the non PTZ version and it is mounted under an overhang, outside.)

Probably, but you should ask the vendor.
Look at the Geeya Lare just got too:

The advantage of this (the Ratingsecu) would be the optional zoom module that would make it a PTZ instead of a PT cam.
Audio may be better on the Geeya.

Yep, audio is great on the Geeya and the daytime video is not bad. Nighttime video can't compare to the Hik's or ESC's but that's to be expected with an inexpensive 1 MP camera. So far I'm happy with it though.

Thanks for the info on the R-400 Pesky. I might send her an email to request info on the different options.
